# 3.1D — Bodily Sensation
>[!info]
>Emerging in its primordial form with the 1st Chakra in our Cell ancestor, when the Self is in this the state of awareness it is concerned simply with bodily sensory input. In humans, it takes the form of the Self simply being aware of the 5 Senses — sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch — as they are apprehended by the 3D Body's sense organs.
As the 3D Body "watches the world" through its senses, sensory impressions are made and transmitted into the consciousness. This is automatic, almost mechanistic. For example, when temperature rises too high, sweat is produced automatically. When an extremely loud sound is heard, alertness increases and often there is a reflex to turn towards its presumed origin.
At each moment, the Self at this tier of awareness is simply conscious of the data coming in from the 5 senses with no interpretation. These sensations are not anything other than their raw sensory form. They are not yet classified as desirable or undesirable, allowed or irrelevant, etc. They just are.
